Jason C. Summers — Principal at Sable Search. Twelve years of enterprise SEO, GEO, AEO, and conversion-rate optimization. $87M+ in tracked organic revenue impact across roles. Built and ships the GEO methodology now in production at a $1B+ US retailer (150,000+ daily organic users, 900+ locations).
In 2014, ranking #1 on Google meant winning the page. In 2026, getting cited by Perplexity means winning the answer. The mechanics underneath are mostly the same — Schema.org graphs, crawl architecture, content structure, internal linking, authority signals — but the consumer of those signals changed from a ranking algorithm to a retrieval-augmented generation pipeline. The brands winning AI search right now are not the brands with the best content. They are the brands whose pages can be efficiently crawled, rendered, parsed, and grounded by retrieval systems.
Most consultants who position themselves as "GEO experts" came from content and strategy backgrounds. They produce schema recommendations and writing-pattern guidance, then hand the work to a developer they cannot QA. Most technical SEO consultants understand the crawl and render layer at depth but treat AI search as a separate concern handled by someone else. Sable Search exists because neither posture is adequate, and there are very few practitioners with deep experience in both.
Every Sable Search engagement is productized — fixed scope, fixed price, fixed delivery date. Audits ship as engineering tickets your team can implement, not slide decks they have to interpret. Retainers cap monthly hours and bill overflow at premium rates. No custom proposals under $25K total contract value. No equity-for-services deals. No performance pricing that ends in attribution arguments six months later.
My day job remains a Senior Director role at a $1B+ US retailer where I built and operate the GEO methodology at scale. The consulting practice runs alongside it under strict guardrails: no clients that compete with my employer; no clients overlapping with companies I'm interviewing with; maximum two retainer clients concurrent during active employment. The cap is real and it's why audit slots fill quickly.

Twelve years across roles spanning Senior Director (current), Principal Product Manager (AEO/LLM knowledge architecture), Director (SEO & AI Discoverability), and Senior SEO Manager. Verticals: large-scale consumer retail, B2B SaaS, healthcare technology, fintech infrastructure, telco.
European, Latin American, and Middle Eastern markets are 12–18 months behind the US on AI search adoption — but the buyers are already there. ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity are accessed in dozens of languages, and most brands competing in those markets have not tested their localized AI visibility once. That's the wedge.
Sable Search is weighting prospecting toward the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, UAE, and Singapore for that reason. Portuguese-language GEO is virtually unserved. German-language localized AI visibility is the single largest underaddressed opportunity I've measured.
If your team competes in any of those markets and hasn't tested your AI search posture there, request the free 5-prompt snapshot with the target market specified. We'll run prompts in that language.
